Yvonne Jegede, the popular Nigerian actress and producer, has announced the heartbreaking loss of one of her foster children, Olamide Ajimuda, to cholera.
Jegede said she has been single-handedly supporting three children despite her financial struggles since 2019.
She shared her grief and gratitude on Instagram, revealing that two of the children she supported recently graduated from secondary school, including Olamide’s sister.
Jegede met Olamide in primary 4 and was expected to progress to junior secondary school 3 after the summer break.
She expressed her faith in God’s providence, which according to her, has enabled her to support the children despite her limited financial resources.
She paid a touching tribute to Olamide, saying, “I’m heartbroken because I lost one of my children to cholera. Olamide and I met when he was in primary 4 and was supposed to go to JSS3 after this summer break.
“The news broke my heart. I am also happy 2 of my children graduated yesterday to secondary school, and one of them is Olamide’s sister. I don’t have all the money in the world but this makes my world complete.
“Since 2019 till date, I don’t know how I do it but my God provides enough for me to carry them through.
“Rest In Power Olamide Ajimuda.”
